The Closure Highlighted The Challenges Of Operating In A Dynamic Market Environment

Iggulden began as a Finance Consultant at GC Partners, then later on was appointed the Chief Financial Officer. Formerly, at ETX, he occupied several positions like Financial Controller, Chartered Accountant, and finally Chief Financial Officer.

After a succession of financial hurdles, the CFD and forex Exchange platform Monecor Limited known as OvalX decided on voluntary closure in September 2023. It was reported that Mark Smith and Stephen Cork, the Insolvency specialists from Cork Gully LLP, were given the responsibility of supervising Monecor’s liquidation procedure.

The fall of OvalX highlighted the difficulties of navigating the Dynamic market environment. The dismissals of workers signaled the company’s underlying hurdles, ultimately leading to the decision to shut down.

After OvalX announced to shut down its business, customers were provided a support system by Capital.com. The notifications delivered to OvalX’s customers gave them the option to move their funds, positions, and accounts to Capital.com. This action intends to enable a streamlined transition for OvalX’s customers, guaranteeing minimal disturbance to their trading operations.

OvalX’s history extends back two decades when it was first established as TradIndex before it changed its name to ETX Capital. In 2020, the company was bought by Guru, a private equity company located in Switzerland.

Despite Backing From Jump Capital, OvalX Faced Difficulties That Led To Its Closure

Although, despite the financing from Jump Capital, a venture capital company, OvalX still encountered challenges. The shift to OvalX and subsequent changes in ownership failed to solve the firm’s underlying problems, eventually resulting in its closure.
