Israel’s police have taken action to freeze cryptocurrency accounts linked to Hamas on Binance, a popular crypto exchange. In a significant development, Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, has conflicted with Israel.

In addition to Binance, a bank account associated with Hamas was also frozen at Barclays Bank. Notably, this action comes amidst escalating tensions between Israel and Hamas. The Israeli authorities have blocked access to digital assets that Hamas allegedly used to raise funds for its activities.

Promptly responding to this, officers from the Police’s Cyber Unit and the National Headquarters for Economic Warfare swiftly identified these accounts and froze them with the cooperation of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. This move intends to redirect the funds to the state treasury.
In simpler terms, the Israeli police’s cyber team froze cryptocurrency accounts that Hamas used to collect social media donations.
As soon as Hamas launched an online donation drive during the conflict, Israeli authorities acted promptly to locate and lock these accounts, with Binance’s assistance, to ensure the collected funds were directed to the state treasury.
Israeli Authorities Freeze Hamas’ Barclays Bank Account
