Gemini, a struggling cryptocurrency exchange, was facing difficulty in its application for more than three hours. It has suffered a second downtime within the last seven days. Gemini went offline on December 20 at around 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, according to the official Twitter account. The company was working to address “application recovery concerns” at the time.

However, the company attributed the downtime to a problem with application recovery. Some systems were now experiencing disruptions, according to its status page. The exchange noted that it was investigating reports of potential service interruptions. All client funds and accounts are safe. Further updates will be provided shortly.

The official Twitter account for the exchange said that it had gone into maintenance mode to look into an application recovery problem. It also stated that its staff was working on the case.

According to the website, the issue was rectified around 14:00. The issue was the exchange’s second outage in the previous seven days. On December 15, its server went down for 3.5 hours. Hence, the exchange’s downtimes are not the most substantial problem.
