Mondu, an advanced buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions provider from Berlin recently decided to expand its distribution across Europe. To do this, the company entered into two new partnerships, with Payin3 and Lemonway.

With their aid, Mondu will start providing businesses and marketplaces across Europe with the same convenience, ease of consumer payments, and BNPL options that are available to German users.

Payin3 is an established and highly flexible payment provider in the Dutch market, which teamed up with Mndu to enable the same flexibility and smooth checkout experience to business buyers.

Thanks to the partnership, Mondu will be able to leverage the firm’s EMI license and provide greater flexibility to business buyers in the Netherlands. Mondu’s co-CEO, Malte Huffmann, stated that the integration with payin3 is part of the company’s commitment to providing merchants and their business buyers with enhanced payment flexibility, which is crucial for scaling their operations effectively.

How Will Mondu’s Partnership With Lemonway Help?

As for Mondu’s second partnership, it chose to team up with a French modular payment platform called Lemonway. This is a platform that simplifies payments for marketplaces, as well as alternative finance platforms.

It is no secret that B2B marketplaces are the fastest growing B2B digital sales channel. In fact, experts have estimated that the sector’s valuation exceeded €338 billion in 2024. Not only that, but the number of B2B marketplaces has grown over the last decade and a half in Europe, going from only around 20 in 2010 to more than 300 in 2024.

This suggests that there is great demand, which saw rapid expansion of the sector as a response. Huffmann commented on this as well, stating that the collaboration with Lemonway plays a crucial ole in Mondu’s mission to enhance B2B transactions and make them simple fr platforms and marketplaces across Europe.

He added that combining Mondu’s own innovative payments solution with Lemonway’s expertise will set new standards for marketplace payments.
