China’s Guangdong Province has stepped up its international outreach with the official launch of four new international communication platforms designed to bridge cultural gaps and bring the province closer to audiences worldwide.

At a launch event held on July 2, provincial officials introduced the platforms — IP Guangdong, LIVE Guangdong, INFO Guangdong, and Go Guangdong — each serving a unique role in telling Guangdong’s story and inviting global friends to share their own.

In a warm message that echoed throughout the ceremony, Guangdong extended an open invitation to the world: “Wherever you are, we welcome you to experience Guangdong’s daily life and share your stories!”

The initiative reflects the province’s growing commitment to cultural openness and people-to-people exchanges as part of its broader role as China’s gateway of reform and opening-up.

IP Guangdong is designed as a creative hub for content generation and sharing. It offers an interactive space where users, both local and international, can post videos, articles, and creative works showcasing their observations, perspectives, and experiences related to life in Guangdong.

INFO Guangdong focuses on practical support for overseas audiences. It delivers valuable daily life information, including visa application tips, medical service guidance, travel suggestions, and other essential local know-how — all in accessible formats for global users planning to visit or engage with Guangdong.

LIVE Guangdong takes storytelling one step further with its around-the-clock live camera broadcasting. Viewers anywhere in the world can tune in to real-time scenes from bustling city streets, tranquil villages, and dynamic industrial parks, giving them a first-hand glimpse into daily life across the province.

Meanwhile, Go Guangdong provides themed travel clues and ideas for deeper, more meaningful visits. Whether it’s exploring historical villages, cutting-edge factories, or innovative laboratories, this platform guides users to destinations that reveal the province’s diversity and spirit of progress.

All four platforms are anchored in the philosophy of “by the people, for the people — creating, showcasing, and sharing together.” Officials say this approach is central to fostering mutual understanding and cross-cultural learning by amplifying authentic voices and lived experiences.

In recent years, Guangdong has significantly accelerated its opening-up efforts, further strengthening ties with international communities through cultural exchange and cooperation. Widely regarded as a key frontier of China’s reform and opening-up policy, Guangdong has long been an important “window” for the world to observe China’s rapid development.

As the province’s economic and social achievements attract growing international attention, officials hope these new communication channels will bring people closer to the region’s vibrant daily life, entrepreneurial spirit, and dynamic blend of tradition and innovation.
