eToro UK Limited has announced the termination of the directorship of one of its directors, Shalom Berkovitz.

Berkovitz has held the director role at eToro for seven years. He has also worked for 30 years at the brokerage platform. He retired from his role towards the end of February 2023, and he continues to serve as a director at several subsidiaries at eToro Group.

An Experienced Leader

Berkovitz has experience in the brokerage industry. Before joining eToro, he held multiple executive positions at other companies.

He previously worked as the CEO of DSNR Media Group for five years. He also served as the CEO of d-Group for 3 years and a CFO at Golden Pages Israel for two years. Berkovitz was also the VP of Economics and Business Development at Eurocom Communications for nine years.

The change in the directorship also comes as eToro announces changes for different leadership roles at the company. The brokerage platform has been taking different initiatives to expand its presence across multiple regions.

eToro has appointed several seasoned professionals to top positions to assist in its growth. These appointments have also played a crucial role in securing regulatory approvals needed to expand the company’s global reach.

One of the latest appointments by eToro in Europe was that of Inès de Dinechin. eToro appointed Inès de Dinechin as a Special Adviser in France. Under this role, she will use her vast experience in the boardroom to advance eToro’s strategy.

Inès de Dinechin has previously served at Quintet Private Bank and Bank of America Europe DAC. She will be working closely with eToro’s management and the local team in France to drive the growth of the company and support its strategy.

eToro is Expanding Its Global Reach

eToro has been expanding its global presence with these new appointments. The brokerage platform announced the appointment of Massimo Citoni as the Regional Manager. Citoni has previously served as an Account Manager in 2015 before being promoted to the Head of the Italian Desk in 2023.

Citoni comes with the expertise needed to expand eToro’s reach in Italy. He is focused on creating strategic partnerships and supporting marketing efforts while enhancing customer retention to improve the experiences available for clients in Italy.

eToro also secured regulatory approval in Abu Dhabi to operate as a broker offering securities, derivatives, and crypto assets. The regulatory approval in Abu Dhabi will support the broker’s expansion plans, given Abu Dhabi is fast developing as a fintech hub.
