Devexperts, a financial software developer, has appointed Anthony Mervin as the firm’s Vice President of Sales and Business Development for APAC and Australia. With more than 25 years in financial technology sales, Mervin is skilled in investment data, quantitative systems, and research products.
According to the report, Mervin had previously worked in several key roles before joining Devexperts. He spent five years leading sales teams and managing the investment unit at Thomson Reuters in the Asia Pacific region. He was also the Sales Director at EPFR, an Account Director, and Informa Financial Intelligence at ITRS.
Mervin Shares Previous Work Experience
Most recently, Mervin was Morningstar’s Senior Vice President (SVP) for Business Development. There, he worked with wealth managers and brokers in New Zealand and Australia.
Devexperts stated that Mervin will concentrate on enhancing its business in APAC and Australia in his new position. The company noted that Mervin sees a lot of promise in its technology. Devexperts believes it can help new brokerages and older financial institutions improve outdated systems.
Mervin’s employment is another important step for Devexperts. The company shared that it employed two new members in May to join the Business Development team. Nick Mortimer is now the Senior Vice President of the Business Development sector. He brings 36 years of experience in the Forex and CFD fields. He has worked at CHF Markets, MahiFX, ABN AMRO, and Marex.
Devexperts Welcomes Peter Moore As A Business Development Team Member
Devexperts said Peter Moore has also become part of the Business Development team. He took the Vice President of Sales and Business Development position. Moore stays in Helsinki and is in charge of leading activities in the Scandinavian and Nordics areas. He has about 20 years of experience in finance, beginning as an investment analyst and later as a portfolio supervisor at UBS’s London office.
According to a separate update in July, the company behind the DXtrade platform for Forex, CFD, and cryptocurrency brokers shared news of a partnership with Pelican, a top copy trading firm. This partnership lets DXtrade users connect directly to Pelican’s network of over 9,000 trading signals.
Devexperts announced in May that it plans a big upgrade for its main product, DXtrade XT. The upcoming version will offer several useful improvements to enhance trading. A key new feature is the ability to trade in multiple currencies. This will provide brokers with more trading opportunities.
The company recently joined forces with Nuam Exchange, a new organization formed from the Lima, Colombia, and Santiago Stock Exchanges. The goal of this alliance is to enhance trading in derivatives and equity markets all over Latin America.
