Crypto.com has taken a huge step forward in Europe after getting a special license from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). This license helps the company lead the way in Europe’s growing crypto market. The company said this approval will allow it to provide more services across European Union countries.
The company shared that this new license means they can offer crypto services like trading and storage to people in the EU. Crypto.com said this approval establishes Crypto.com as a key player in the crypto market. The company added that it can now offer more features to customers in Europe while keeping everything safe and clear.
According to reports, Crypto.com received an important Malta license in 2021. The company said this license allows it to offer trading and custodian services in the region. This new approval builds on that foundation, allowing them to grow further while staying within the law.
Crypto.com Focuses On Clear Rules And Trust
The company is also working hard to follow all new rules in Europe. In December 2024, Crypto.com joined Mastercard as a main partner. This lets the platform issue cards directly to customers through Mastercard’s system. The company said this move shows its dedication to staying secure and connected to traditional finance systems.
Crypto.com grew its reach by buying a company called Orion Principals Limited. This company abides by the rules set by the Abu Dhabi Global Market. These steps show that Crypto.com cares about following rules in both crypto and regular finance.
Eric Anziani, the President and Chief Operating Officer of Crypto.com, said the company supports the new MiCA regulation in Europe. MiCA, which stands for Markets in Crypto-Assets, brings clear rules for crypto services in all EU countries. It was fully introduced on December 30 last year.
Anziani noted that MiCA gives companies like Crypto.com a better way to help their customers while staying within the rules.
Crypto.com Grows Its Partnerships And Services
The license comes as Crypto.com grows its partnerships around the world. One example is its work with Accor’s ALL loyalty program. This program lets people use crypto to earn and spend points at over 5,600 hotels. Crypto.com said this gives users fun and easy ways to use their digital money.
With the new license, Crypto.com can now offer better services to people in Europe. The company said the MiCA rules cover crypto exchanges, stablecoins, and more. These rules help all EU countries follow the same system, allowing Crypto.com to easily operate across Europe.
Crypto.com has over 100 million users worldwide. According to the update, the MiCA license helps the company expand in Europe while keeping safety and trust as the most important goals. Many people think this will bring more users to the platform and offer new ways for customers to enjoy crypto services.
