CMC Market’s Group Chief Financial Officer, Euan Marshall, has resigned from his position at the company. According to Marshall, he will step down from his position as a director of the London-listed firm in January 2024. However, he will take the same position at IntegraFin Holdings after his departure from the firm. As for CMC Markets, the company will soon start looking for Marshall’s successor.
Marshall will still spend the next six months at CMC, focusing on an orderly and effective handover of his responsibilities. CMC noted that it will start looking for someone to take on the soon-to-be empty position shortly.
Marshall has spent four years as CMC’s CFO. Initially, he joined the company in November 2011. By the time he departs from the firm, he will have spent over 12 years as its official.
Marshall spent more than half of his career at CMC
Commenting on the new development, Marshall said that he thoroughly enjoyed working alongside other extremely talented people at CMC. The last four years which he spent as the CFO were particularly enjoyable. “The Company has changed significantly during my time here, and through the recent investments in diversifying the business, there are strong foundations in place for the enduring success of the business,” he added.
Marshall has a lengthy and rather impressive career. He started building his career at Barclays in September 2000, staying with the company until May 2004. Then, he spent the next five years as a manager at Deloitte, only to move on in September 2009. Prior to joining CMC, he was a Senior Business Partner for MI & Planning at HSBC for several years.
He finally joined CMC in 2011 as the Head of FP&A, and he stayed in this position until February 2013, when he became the Head of Financial Control and FP&A. In 2016, he moved on to become the Group Head of Finance for three years and became Interim Chief Financial Officer.
Marshall’s journey continues
While this is quite an impressive resume, Marshall is still not done, and he will next become the CFO at IntegraFin, another London-based firm. The company offers an investment platform for UK financial advisors. The platform’s services are also extended to the financial advisors’ clients through proprietary technology.
According to The Group CEO at CMC, Peter Cruddas, Marshal has been a highly-valued member of the company’s team. “Over the past four years, he has served as the CFO, playing a crucial role in the Company’s transformative journey,” he added. The CEO then expressed his gratitude for his dedication and contributions on behalf of the entire Board and Marshall’s CMC colleagues. The CEO and the rest of the company’s team wished him luck in building his career and all future endeavors.
