Bank of Ireland has announced the appointment of De Niese to fill the new position of Chief Digital and Architecture Officer. This spot aims for the next stage of the company’s digital strategy for colleagues and customers.

De Niese will play a highly significant role in the development of the Bank of Ireland’s IT architecture and systems. The duty is crucial to the regular accomplishment of the Group’s strategic goals. One of these goals includes building a strong connection between the firm and its customers and also smaller businesses.

Niamh is joining the Bank of Ireland from Santander UK where she recently held the Chief Digital Officer position. By taking this position, Niamh will head the development of enhanced digital offerings for clients. Furthermore, she will also assist in placing digital competencies across the Group. This will help in the continuous development of the firm’s digital operating model.

The new Chief Digital and Architecture Officer will offer a scale of experience, after more than twenty years of work in the payment, banking, and technology sectors for some top organizations.

Bank of Ireland’s Chief Operating Officer, Ciarán Coyle revealed that he’s excited that Niamh will be taking the position of the firm’s Chief Digital and Architecture Officer. He said that building a more solid relationship with customers is crucial to the Group’s strategy.

He welcomes Niamh to the firm and believes that her abilities and industry experience will be beneficiary to customers, shareholders, and colleagues. With this addition, the firm continues to invest in improved digital solutions.
