BKN301, a global fintech architecture provider, recently announced that it has topped up its Series B funding round with a £10 million credit facility, and it acquired an AI-driven financial analytics and open banking specialist, Planky.

The announcement came yesterday, November 25, sharing that the Series B was extended to €33 million, which will open a new chapter of global growth and further acquisitions for the company.

According to the firm, it has secured a credit facility from funds and accounts managed by BlackRock. The new financing is set to accelerate BKN301’s roadmap, allowing the firm to scale its digital banking architecture platform across EMEA markets.

BKN301 will also be able to combine modular digital banking infrastructure with advanced data analytics and machine learning to continue its mission of powering financial innovation in emerging economies and beyond.

BKN301 Acquires AI Specialist Planky

As mentioned, the company also acquired Planky – a UK-based tech firm specializing in AI-driven financial analytics and open banking. Thanks to the acquisition, BKN301 has gained a proprietary AI and data analytics engine that will be fully integrated into its digital banking architecture.

In its announcement, the firm said that Planky’s machine learning models are specialized in real-time financial insights, behavioral scoring, and predictive analysis.

This will enable the intelligence and automation of BKN301’s own platform, and allow financial institutions and fintechs using the firm’s technology to deliver a smarter, faster, and more personalized digital banking experience.

Commenting on the two major milestones, BKN301’s founder and CEO, Stiven Muccioli, said that this marks a defining moment for his company.

“With the growth financing and Planky’s AI capabilities, we’re accelerating toward our vision of a next-generation fintech infrastructure — one that’s intelligent, open, and designed to empower financial inclusion at scale across emerging markets,” he noted.

What Is Next For BKN301?

The extended Series B, coupled with the acquisition of Plank,y came as BKN301 continued to expand its presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, supporting fintechs, banks, and corporates with an agile, AI-powered infrastructure.

The firm has also developed a growth strategy for the next 18 months, which will include strengthening its AI and data analytics capabilities, expanding strategic partnerships, and exploring new M&A opportunities.

Commenting on this, Muccioli said: “We’re building the rails for the next wave of financial innovation. AI is transforming how financial services operate, and BKN301 is at the forefront — combining intelligence, scalability, and regulatory readiness to help our clients innovate faster.”
