Nelson Smith Held Leadership Roles At VT Markets
Nelson is coming into his new role with a wealth of experience across several trading and finance sectors. He spent 8 years at Vantage, where he held several positions. These include the head of compliance management, the head of corporate relations, and oversight of liquidity.
Nelson-Smith also worked at VT Markets, where he held leadership roles, notably serving as the company’s director for 4 years. There, he focused on risk management, operational efficiency, and client relations.
Before his stint at VT Markets, Smith held roles at GAIN Capital. He was the company’s Senior Market Maker for four years, managing risk and market-making processes across commodities, equities, FX, and other instruments. But City Index is where it all began for Smith, where he launched his career as a Dealer for more than four years in London.
Blueberry Rebrands and Integrates cTrader
Meanwhile, Blueberry Markets recently announced integration with cTrader into its offerings. The Australian-based firm said the move is part of an ongoing rebranding process. Following a recent rebranding activity that included a redesigned website and a new logo, the firm said the integration is in line with its multi-platform strategy. The new design will extend across trading platforms, social media, and educational content.
cTrader offers several features for algorithmic and copy trading. These include API access, Cloud execution, and cBots. Additionally, it offers support for advanced charting, trade receipts, order protection, and Level II pricing. The platform is available on desktop, mobile, Mac, and web in 23 languages.
The company’s new brand platform was generated almost entirely using generative AI. Blueberry says the rebrand was necessary to reposition the firm in the market and meet the growing needs of traders. The launch marks a bold move that mirrors the innovation, adaptability, and precision traders depend on in today’s fast-paced markets.
Blueberry says AI was involved in nearly every step taken to design the new platform – from concept visualization and audio design to script development, visuals, and post-production. The result was greater flexibility and faster timelines.
The company has continued to seek highly experienced members to join its team. The appointment of Smith is a strong statement that it intends to expand its operations and give its users more options in the market.
