Brokerage firm XTB has announced it will grant 10 complimentary Emaar Properties (EMAAR) shares to new users in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The company will also host a series of seminars to educate its users and new investors.
XTB has tagged the promotion “The XTB Investor Mindset” program. From Monday, new traders on the platform will have access to shares immediately after their account is created. The broker services more than 1.7 million customers globally and hopes to expand its operations across the MENA region.
XTB Wants To Educate Traders On Market Fundamentals
The program will hold multiple sessions, focusing primarily on complementary financial education. XTB intends to instruct customers and connect them with seasoned traders to learn market basics.
However, the broker will not depend on sign-up incentives to attract participants. Instead, its focus is on client education.
Managing Director at XTB MENA, Achraf Drid, commented on the program. “We believe that the best way to encourage responsible investing is through education,” he said. Drid added that the company wants to enable its clients to have the right trading mindset while offering them the right tools to succeed.
The company is providing free shares as an invitation for new traders to begin. The workshops are designed to train traders, equipping them with sound market strategies. Drid says the goal is to foster clients’ long-term financial well-being. XTB conducted a similar campaign this year, collaborating with General Motors (GM) in May.
The Promotion Focuses On UAE-Listed Companies
The latest promotion is conducted in collaboration with Dubai-listed securities, including toll operator Salik, food delivery firm Talabat, and Emaar.
The campaign coincides with a period when the UAE equity market is experiencing significant momentum, with infrastructure stocks and real estate maintaining strong performance this year.
Following the announcement of the program, Emaar shares surged by 6.6%, trading at 13.85 dirhams within 24 hours. Emaar is regarded as one of the largest firms in Dubai’s financial markets, based on market capitalization. The XTB promotional campaign is different from the traditional deposit matches or cash bonuses common among brokerage firms in the region.
XTB launched a new office in Dubai in March this year to bring its offerings closer to users in the region. The firm says it wants to provide better on-site support and serve its users more efficiently. The campaign focuses on wealth-building fundamentals, trading technology, and essential investing concepts.
