Dana Massey Plans Career Break After Three Years of Service

Dana Massey has ended his time as Chief Product & Technology Officer at Capital.com. He shared this update on LinkedIn today, explaining his decision to take a well-deserved break after years of active work in fintech and gaming industries.

Massey joined Capital.com three years ago. His journey began in May, two years ago, when he became the Chief Product & Marketing Officer. Based in London, he worked for two years and seven months in that role, focusing on helping customers understand investing and use the platform with ease.

Massey Early Career And Industry Contributions

Earlier in his career, Massey worked at Flaregames as Game Lead and Senior Producer. There, he handled project leadership and worked with teams to develop new gaming products. His role required close teamwork with different partners and developers.

Over the years, Massey’s career has covered both fintech and gaming sectors. He has gained wide experience in product design, customer-focused platforms, marketing strategies, and managing large teams in fast-moving industries.

Currently, no information has been shared about Massey’s next career path. He mentioned his plan to return to work after his break, but there is no specific timeline for when this will happen. For now, Massey plans to enjoy his time off, focusing on rest and personal time after years of leading teams and projects at top companies.

Massey Leadership Journey In Customer Experience And Team Building

During his time, Massey built strong teams to manage customer experience from the first advertisement to the actual use of the platform. His leadership covered product development, marketing plans, and improving how the platform served its users.

In his farewell message, Massey reflected on the valuable time spent working with the product, marketing, and technology teams. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow while working with skilled professionals across different departments.

Before his time at Capital.com, Massey worked at WorldRemit as Vice President of Product for Core Consumer. For 11 months, he led the team responsible for improving apps and websites used by customers. His focus was to make sure users had a smooth and friendly experience.

For over a decade and until around four years ago, Massey controlled key roles at King, the firm which is known for well-designed mobile games. During that time, he worked as the Director of New Games, and was the producer of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, and Senior Director of Publishing. These roles helped him gain great experience in development, strategy, and team management.

During his years at King, Massey worked closely with both internal teams and outside partners. His tasks included managing game creation, guiding marketing efforts, and leading publishing activities for new titles.
