A popular instant messaging platform Discord recently got a financial boost, according to a recent announcement from a software developer firm for the capital markets industry, Devexperts. According to the company, its AI-powered virtual assistant Devexa just got integrated with Discord due to its rising popularity in the retail trading industry.

Benefits of Devexa’s Integration With Discord

Devexperts’ new move will expand its AI assistant’s multichannel functionality, which already includes other trading-oriented apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Telegram. The addition of Discord to the list of supported apps will help improve trader accessibility to Devexa’s support feature, especially when it comes to users who prefer to interact with the messaging app using mobile devices.

Commenting on the integration, Devexperts’ Head of OTC Platform, Jon Light, said that Discord became an extremely popular platform among traders. As a result, it was important for Devexperts to add it to Devexa’s multichannel functionalities.

“This will allow traders using Discord to access all the benefits of Devexa, including her knowledge base support and in-depth financial analysis capabilities, as well as her virtual assistance and support,” he added.

The integration will bring multiple key features to Discord’s users, which will ease access to financial information, technical analysis via TechSignals integration, and the ability to place orders or check account balances from the Discord platform directly.

Furthermore, the new integrations will also allow brokers to use Devexa’s broadcast messaging capabilities within Discord. This will allow for the delivery of things like polls, trading signals, and important updates for the community members. Light also added that, from a broker’s point of view, the development will improve customer engagement, but also it will provide direct marketing channels for useful, timely interactions.

Will Discord Become The Next Go-To Place For Retail Traders?

Devexperts’ new move comes at a time when fintechs are rapidly adapting to the changing user preferences and looking for ways to meet traders where they are the most active.

Discord, for example, quickly became a go-to place for gathering investors who like discussing strategies, exchanging trading signals, and navigating market trends as a collective. Reports of Discord’s rising popularity among financial industry participants have been emerging for a while, noting that retail traders seek communities of fellow investors.

It was also estimated that around 15% of Discord’s 26.5 million daily active users commonly visit finance-related servers, where various trading topics are discussed. This includes things like day trading, cryptocurrencies, options, and more. Depending on the servers, there could be anywhere from a few hundred to over 10,000 members.
