Skilling, a company in Cyprus that deals with forex and CFDs, has chosen George Kyriakoudes to be the temporary Chief Executive Officer. He was promoted from his role as Chief Financial Officer, where he worked for the last eight months.

This change happened after Michael Kamerman left as Chief Executive Officer earlier this year. Kamerman has now gone to FTMO, a company from the Czech Republic, where he is now the Chief Executive of its brokerage section. However, FTMO hasn’t started its brokerage services yet.

The Broker Received A Series Of Financial Backings To Speed Up Its Growth

After Kamerman left the company, Jonathan Squires, Skilling’s Chair took charge for a while, guiding it through this change. Kyriakoudes, who was already in charge of the Dealing and Sales part of the business for a few months, has now stepped into the role of Interim Chief Executive Officer, taking over from Squires. It’s not yet clear if Skilling plans to hire someone for this position permanently or keep Kyriakoudes in this role.

Interestingly, Kyriakoudes started his work at Skilling on the day  Kamerman officially said he was leaving the company.

Skilling is a global company with two licenses, one from Seychelles and another from Cyprus. In 2022, Skilling secured €10 million in seed financing to speed up the growth of its business, according to reports. This funding came only a few months after the company had raised another €15 million from investors in Scandinavia.

Kyriakoudes has a lot of experience in the CFDs and forex industry. Before coming to Skilling, he worked at IronFX in Cyprus, where he served as the Group Chief Financial Officer for more than two years, as noted on his LinkedIn profile.

The Company Aims To Expand And Explore New Market Opportunities

He started his career in the trading industry in 2013, joining ForexTime (FXTM) as a Senior Internal Auditor. He worked for some time and was later promoted to Chief of Internal Audit and Reporting, and then became Chief of Risk Management and Reporting. Kyriakoudes departed FXTM in June 2021, holding the role of Chief Financial Officer when he left the company.

Before venturing into the world of retail trading, Kyriakoudes worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers and Deloitte, two well-known firms that are part of the Big Four auditing companies.

The appointment of George Kyriakoudes shows that Skilling has a lot of confidence in his skills and leadership. The company continues to receive financial backing from investors, helping it to grow and reach its goal of opening up the possibilities in markets around the world.
