According to the latest update shared on Linkedin, Peter Mintzberg is now the new Chief Executive Officer of Grayscale Investments. Mintzberg comes to Grayscale after holding several top positions at major financial institutions.
Peter Mintzberg shared his pride and excitement about officially joining Grayscale Investments as the new Chief Executive Officer. He stated that crypto is one of the fastest-growing areas in asset management and expressed his eagerness to work with the Grayscale team to continue the company’s success and serve its clients.
Peter Mintzberg’s New Roles Suggest A Goal To Lead And Innovate In Financial Management
Before joining Grayscale, Mintzberg was the Global Head of Strategy for Goldman Sachs Asset & Wealth Management. From 2023 to August 2024, he led the strategy and later took on the responsibility of overseeing Goldman’s Wealth Management business.
He handled deal execution and led key strategic initiatives. From 2021 to 2023, as Global Head of Strategy for Goldman Sachs Asset Management, he set up and managed the corporate strategy and development function. This included digital assets strategy, industry research, and business-wide strategy.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mintzberg served as a Managing Director at Apollo Global Management from 2020 to 2021, concentrating on deal execution. He also spent several years at OppenheimerFunds, holding various leadership positions from 2013 to 2020.
His roles at OppenheimerFunds included Chief Strategy Officer and Global Head of Corporate Development. After Oppenheimer merged with Invesco, he became the Global Head of Corporate Strategy, Investor Relations, and Treasury.
Grayscale Investments Aim To Offer Investment Products Focused On Digital Currencies
Earlier, Mintzberg worked at BlackRock for seven years in different strategic roles. From 2010 to 2013, he was the COO and Head of Strategy for Latin America and Iberia. Before that, he was the Director of Strategy and Business Development from 2006 to 2010.
Mintzberg has over 20 years of experience in finance, mainly focusing on deal execution, corporate strategy, and business development worldwide. At Grayscale, his leadership is set to guide the company’s future as it maintains its position in digital asset investments.
