According to the announcement, Simon, who will operate from London, will be charged with the responsibility of supervising and expanding the firm’s front-office trading capabilities. Simon is the Former Chief Operating Officer of Bank of London
Simon, while commenting on the new role, stated that he is very excited about the position he noted that he will bring his expertise and experience to expand the firm’s operations in Trading Solutions.
He added that he will be bringing together and evolving all front-office trading capabilities in various jurisdictions and across the Broadridge community. He intends to make his mark across different segments, including Wealth Management, Investment Management, and Capital Markets.
Simon is coming into the board of Broadridge with a lot of experience in the industry. He worked with The Bank of London as the Chief Operating Officer from 2021 to 2024 before joining Broadridge. Broadridge Makes Few Appointments To Reposition Its Business
Apart from Simon, Broadridge has also appointed other experienced professionals to its board to head other jurisdictions. The firm recently appointed David Dunacres as its President of Asia-Pacific (APAC). Runacres will be in charge of the company’s overseeing regional operations, working as the firm’s Senior County Officer for Japan, one of its most important markets.
Dunacres has spent more than 3 decades in the APAC region working for various companies in the region.
His latest stint before joining Broadridge was at the London Stock Exchange Group. He worked as head of Japan for the Exchange Group for 12 years. According to Broadridge, the latest appointment is in line with the company’s goal of establishing its presence in Japan and the Asian region.
Simon served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Information Officer at a hedge fund office in London between February 2010 and July 2016. He has also worked as the Global Head of Front Office Technology for UBS between August 2016 and January 2022. Simon says his new position at Broadridge will center on supporting trading operations by improving the company’s technology infrastructure.
