Equiti Group Welcomes Karen Tatyan as Head of Database

Equiti Group has appointed Karen Tatyan as Head of the Database. Tatyan has been with the group for over six years, initially joining as a warehouse/business intelligence/database engineer.
Tatyan has also held other positions at Equiti, including Data Architect and Database Team Lead. His profile shows that he has worked for other companies, like Digitain and Synergy International Systems.
Equiti Aims To Provide Top-Quality Trading Support Across Multiple Regions
Earlier this year, Equiti strengthened its executive team by hiring Sophie Squillacioti as the Director of Sales for the Asia-Pacific section. With two decades of experience, Squillacioti joined the firm’s Dubai offices.
Her experience also includes managing Asian operations for brokers. Before joining Equiti, she was the Head of Asia at INFINOX Global from 2022 to 2023 and served as the Head of Asia at the Shanghai offices of BDSwiss.
Meanwhile, Equiti Capital UK increased its operating profit and trading revenue for 2023, as stated in the company’s recent report. However, the FCA-regulated arm of Equiti Group saw its total comprehensive income drop by more than 30% compared to the previous year.
Trading revenue for the period increased to over $31 million, up from $30.5 million the previous year. This growth led the firm to reach an operational profit of $1.9 million, an increase from the profit in 2022. However, the total assets held by the firm decreased from $203.5 million to $161.4 million during the same period.

The digital marketing team helped the group grow by bringing in more customers and increasing transactions. This led to a 34% rise in commission revenue.
