Citi Clear Card (Citibank Clear Credit Card)

Citi Clear Card is the low interest version of the Citibank Clear Card and the Citibank Clear Platinum Card, which is a status card. Citibank credit cards are available in eight different versions with a brand logo of MasterCard or Visa.

The Citibank Clear Credit Card comes with the ‘World Privileges’ program, recognized by over 40,000 establishments, including restaurants, hotels, retail outlets, spas and golf courses, in 30 countries.

Citi Clear Card: History of Citibank

Citibank is among the world’s major provider of banking services. It was established in 1812 in New York under the name of City Bank of New York. The bank ventured into the credit card business in the 1960s and was among the first banks in the US to introduce ATMs in the 1970s. In 1976, it officially adopted the name Citibank.

  • No interest on balance transfers for the initial six months.
  • Complementary travel insurance and purchase cover.
  • High credit limit of up to $60,000.

Citibank Clear Credit Card: Rewards

Citibank Clear Credit Cards offer 25% discount on Citibank World Privileges. The Citibank Clear Platinum Card, in addition, offers the following rewards:

  • Access to personal concierge services, 24/7.
  • Visa Platinum Rewards with shopping and entertainment.

Citi Clear Card: Restrictions

The Citi Clear Card, however, has some limitations, including:

  • The Citi Clear Card does not offer many rewards, such as cash back, gift vouchers and points.
  • To acquire a Citibank Clear Platinum Card, a person must have an annual income of at least $50,000.

Citibank Clear Credit Cards can be applied for online, through the mail or fax, as well as through a phone call to the 24-hour helpline. The applicant needs to provide personal details and information regarding employment status and financial position.
