ANZ Cards (ANZ Credit Cards Australia)

ANZ Cards are available in both MasterCard and Visa. ANZ Credit Cards Australia are offered with ANZ Falcon protection, which provides security from suspicious online and phone transactions.

ANZ: History

ANZ is a major banking group in Australia and New Zealand, and is one of the top 50 banks of the world. It was established in 1835 in Sydney, under the name of ‘Bank of Australasia.’ The current Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Banking Group Limited was formed in 1970. The bank launched its Internet Banking Services division in 1999.

ANZ Cards: Types

ANZ Credit Cards are available in nine variations, with different features to cater to varying personal needs. These cards include:



ANZ Low Rate MasterCard

  • Low annual rate of interest of 11.99%
  • Low annual account fee of $58
  • Interest-free credit for 55 days on all purchases
  • Facility to design and personalize the cards

ANZ Balance Visa

  • Unlimited reward points on purchases and payments
  • Redemption of reward points for gift cards and shopping vouchers
  • Attractive annual interest rate of 12.99% on purchases
  • Credit limit of more than $1,000

ANZ First Visa

  • Low annual rate of 7.99% on balance transfers for the initial six months
  • Low annual account fee of $30
  • Interest-free credit for 44 days on all purchases

ANZ Rewards Visa

  • Gift vouchers on purchases and transactions using Rewards Visa
  • Holiday rewards in association with Virgin, Qantas and Jet Star
  • Other rewards in the form of kitchen appliances, electronic goods and movie tickets
  • Low annual fee of $48

ANZ Rewards Visa Gold also offers a greater range of facilities and rewards, including a higher credit limit of $5,000 and the issuance of Commission-free travelers’ checks. The card is available at an annual fee of $79.

ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa is a Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards Credit Card. The card is offered in association with Qantas to reward frequent flyers on purchases and payments using the card. It has a credit limit of $1,000 and a spending limit of up to $5,000. It is also offered as:

  • ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Gold with a high credit limit of $5,000
  • ANZ Frequent Flyer Visa Platinum with an even higher credit limit of over $12,000

ANZ Gold

  • Insurance protection
  • Annual account fee of $87
  • Access to the bank’s 24-hour travel service worldwide
  • High credit limit of $25,000

ANZ Credit Cards Australia also offer additional features, such as emergency card replacement, add-on cards, theft/loss insurance, extended warranty and online guarantee. ANZ Cards are accepted by more than 24 million merchants globally.
