DEARBORN, MI. SEPT. 16, 2021 – Laura Dickerson, Director UAW Region 1A, spoke today at the completed Rouge Electric Vehicle Center in Dearborn, Mich., where Ford’s first pre-production F-150 Lightning trucks are now leaving the factory for real-world testing. Ford announced its deepened commitment to Michigan with an additional $250 million investment and 450 new jobs across three southeast Michigan facilities – Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, Rawsonville Components Plant, and Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center – to support F-150 Lightning truck production capacity increase.
