STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY
This is the first country adopting the Industrial Revolution on the continent of Europe in the early
1800s. The country has developed an excellent transportation infrastructure of ports, canals, railways, and highways to integrate its industry with that of its neighbours.

the service sector as percentage of total GDP is 72.2 in the year 2003 and the value addition of the Inddustrial sector as percentage of total GDP is 26.5 percent in 2003.
