Majority of the population is employed in agriculture, however only makes up a small portion of GDP. Eritrea’s economy is controlled the sole political party, the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ). The country’s economy is heavily dependent on taxation paid by members of the diaspora, migrating due to high unemployment.
