The Shine 'n Star tow truck photo beauty contest, managed by Tow Times magazine and powered by Ford Trucks, is back this year bigger and better than ever, including a new way to enter and a new truck category.

It all adds up to more opportunities to enter and chances to win the Shine 'n Star contest, which this year marks its 30th year of offering great prizes and national recognition to tow truck companies in the United States and Canada.

Rotator tow trucks, the heavy-duty wonders of the towing and recovery industry, have been added as a new contest category.

In 2021, for the first time, towing companies have a new category to enter - rotator tow trucks, the heavy-duty wonders of the towing and recovery industry. Plus, companies may submit their tow trucks to the Shine 'n Star contest via message by texting "SNS" to 833-524-0597. Follow the instructions to enter your tow truck. (Note: message and data rates may apply.)

Of course, submissions continue to be accepted on shinenstar.com, where you'll find photos and videos of the 2020 winners, as well the official entry rules. All tow trucks must be working trucks in the company's fleet. And, remember, it's free to enter.

Companies compete for Grand Prize, First, Second and Third Place winners in the following categories: heavy duty, medium duty, light duty, car carrier and working truck. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges. Fellow towing operators get to choose the People's Choice award winner.

The Grand Prize winner earns a $1,000 cash prize, commemorative plaque, and the winning photo entry on the cover of the November 2021 issue of Tow Times magazine. First-place winners each receive $400 cash, a commemorative plaque and a 2021 or 2022 Tow Times magazine cover; second- and third-place winners each receive $250 and $150, respectively, plus a commemorative plaque.

Prizes are made possible by the sponsorship of Ford Trucks, which has generously supported the Shine 'n Star contest for 18 years since 2003.

Last year, over 500 companies submitted entries to the Shine 'n Star contest. Winners hailed from California to Maine and points in between, including Canada.
