FOREIGN TRADE

Vanuatu has experienced both deficits in the balance of trade as well as in the balance of payment. The exports segment is very low in comparison to the imports segment.


Major exportable items of the country are cocoa, coffee, copra and beef. Its exports partners are Japan, Malaysia and Thailand.

Important importable commodities of the country are machines, fuels and foodstuffs. It mainly imports from the countries such as Singapore, Japan, Australia, and Poland.
