There was a 1.5 percent growth over the last quarter reported, first-quarter 2005 to second-quarter 2005, from $23.3 billion to $23.6 billion.

Among the various sectors of the state, the chief industries constitute petroleum, tourism, fishing, mining, forestry, transportation and aerospace. The chief manufacturing goods include fish products, lumber and pulp and the furs. The chief agricultural crops include green house products, barley, oats, hay, potatoes, lettuce and aquaculture. The livestocks of the state in Jan 2004 include 12,500 cattle/calves; Jan 2003: 1,500 hogs/pigs.
