FOREIGN TRADE

The economy has experienced both balance of trade deficit as well as balance of payment deficit in the recent years.

Major exportable items of the country are food, petroleum products, manufacturing goods, and raw materials. It exports to the countries such as Italy, Germany and Russia.

Important importable items of the country are fuel, capital goods, and transport equipments. Imports partners of the country are China, Italy, Germany and Russia.

CONCLUSION

Serbia and Montenegro again joined the World Bank in the year 2001. Since then the Bank has stepped forward by helping the country towards the path of a market friendly economy. From time to time the bank has started many developmental programmes for fostering economic growth and reducing poverty.
