STRUCUTURE OF THE ECONOMY
Main types of agricultural products in Mexico include corn, wheat, soybeans, rice, beans, cotton, coffee, fruit, tomatoes; beef, poultry, dairy products; wood products. The percentage share of the agricultural products in total GDP has declined from 9.4 percent in the year 1984 to 4.1 in the year 2004.

The industrial types include food and beverages, tobacco, chemicals, iron and steel, petroleum, mining, textiles, clothing, motor vehicles, consumer durables and tourism. Its percentage share in total GDP has also declined to 26.4 percent in 2004 in comparison to 34.9 percent in 1984. Percentage share of services in total GDP has declined slightly to 69.5 percent in 2004 from 70.3 in the previous year.
