DEMOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL INDICATORS
The country has a surface area of 2 million square kilometer with a density of population 54 per square kilometer in the year 2003.
The total population in the mid year of 2004 have reached 103.8 millions in Mexico. The average annual growth rate of population between 1998-2004 is estimated at 1.4 percent.

The total carbon dioxide emissions in the year 2000 was estimated at 424.0 million tones.
