Among the various sectors of the economy, the percentage share of the services sector in the total GDP is the highest. It was 66.7 percent as of the year 2003.
Major industries of the country are food products, textiles, light assembly, tourism and construction.
Important agricultural products in the country are banana, sugarcane, maize, vegetables and Cocoa.
