STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY
Among the various sectors of the economy, the percentage share of the services sector in the total GDP is the highest. It was 61.6 percent as of the year 2004.
Major industries in the country are chemicals, machine tools, metals, electronics, aluminium, paper, construction materials, textiles, petroleum and petroleum refining and tourism.
Agricultural products in the country include corn, sugar beets, sunflower, barley, olives, citrus, grapes, soybeans, potatoes and dairy products.
