STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY

The percentage share of the agriculture sector in total GDP of the country has declined over the years.



The major agricultural products of the country are soybeans, coffee, coca, cotton, sugar cane, rice, potatoes and maize.

The major industries of the country are mining, smelting, food and beverages, tobacco, handicrafts, clothing and petroleum.



The manufacturing in the country is one of the most developed sector. The important manufacturing goods of the country are textiles, clothing, non-durable consumer goods, processed soya, refined petroleum and refined metals.

The services sector in the country is experiencing a relativelty better in the recent years. The tourism industry has attracted the world through its natural charming.
