STRUCTURE OF THE ECONOMY

Services sector constitute a larger share in the country's GDP followed by industries. In the year 2005, services accounted for 73.4% of GDP.

Major agricultural products in the country are vegetables, cotton, bananas, and livestock.

Important industries are construction, manufacturing and tourism.

The percentage share of agriculture in the total GDP of the country is declining over the years, while the share of the industry is rising as shown in the following diagram:
