The products of World Metal Industries have now become an almost indispensable part of our lives for everything we use are either directly made of metallic elements or alloys (which are proportionate homogeneous mixtures of alloys), or they were manufactured through the use of machinery, that is made of metals or alloys. The World Metal Industries may, in fact, be divided into three basic industrial sections. The basic industrial sections comprising the World Metal Industries are as given below :
Ore and Mining Industries : The metals present in their natural state beneath the surface of the earth as ores (for example – the ore of iron is called iron-ore, the ore of aluminium is known as bauxite etc.) are mined from within the earth and then these ores are sent for extraction.
Metallurgy Industries : The ores obtained from the mining industries are then chemically treated to extract the metals in their pure form, which can then be used for metalworking and manufacturing
Metalworking and Manufacturing Industries : The industries which use the metals extracted from the Metallurgical industries to manufacture metallic machines or other manufactured items.
