Japan comes under the high-income OECD GROUP countries as to the classification made by the World Bank on the basis of income and region for the year 2006.

Japan is one among the most developed and industrialized economy with a free market system over the world. Economic growth rate has become more impressive in the country recently. Both the services sector as well as industries largely contributes to the country's economy.
