Cameroon is a Lower Income economies coming under the Sub Saharan African Region as to the classification made by the World Bank on the basis of Income and region for the year 2006.
The agriculture sector contributes a lot to the country's economy. The reforms process adopted by the country through the supports of International monetary fund and the World Bank has brought major economic success for the country.
Major agricultural products of the country are cocoa, oil, coffee, and rubber. Important Industries are chemicals, palm, crude oil, and cement.
