Real Estate Baton Rouge

Real Estate Baton Rouge has developed in the areas around Baton Rouge, the most populated city in Louisiana, behind New Orleans and also the Capital of Louisiana. Baton Rouge is located on the southeast of Louisiana which lies to the east of Texas, and falls in the North Atlantic Hurricane Belt.

Similar to the other regions lying in the south-eastern parts of the U.S., Baton Rouge experiences a humid subtropical type of climate. The prolonged summers are hot and humid as usual, with generally high temperatures. However, Real Estate Baton Rouge for being situated towards the south of the state experiences moderate temperatures during summer.

The rainfall occurs mostly during the winter months, in the southern parts of Louisiana and as a result of this, Baton Rouge experiences heavier rains during the winter. The winters are mild and not severely cold, and snowfalls are rare. The Baton Rouge area similar to the rest of the state is prone to hurricanes as it lies in the North Atlantic Hurricane Belt. Severe thunderstorms also adversely affect the region housing the Real Estate Baton Rouge in summer.

With mostly African Americans as its inhabitants, numbering just over half of the total number of the inhabitants, a majority of households, more than 40 percent of the total number of the households, in the Real Estate Baton Rouge consists of non families. In contrast, its nearly 36 percent households provide homes to married couples. The average size of households in the Real Estate Baton Rouge was very close to two and a half (2.5) persons per household.

As of the present times, Hurricane Katrina has been the sole reason behind the slump experienced by the entire state. The Real Estate Baton Rouge was not an exception to that, however the reconstruction process has gained momentum and one has only to wait for the process to win back for Louisiana its lost glory. In spite of the hurricanes Louisiana continues to draw more tourists in comparison to many other parts of the nation. The economy of the state is once again regaining its stability. It will not take much longer for the Real Estate Baton Rouge to become a profitable real estate market once more.
