·        Making the Finance Manager aware of discrepancies during the reconciliation process.

·        Handling petty cash.
·        Filing financial information.
·        Providing cover for the Finance Manager when required.
 
Program Finance Assistant: In this position, you must have the following skills:
  • Highly numerate
  • Good bookkeeping skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word and email

 
As a Program Finance Assistant, you may be responsible for:
  • Passing invoices to the correct approver for authorization.
  • Completing emergency check forms and ensuring supplier and PO set up.
  • Dealing with the shared services and external supplier queries if necessary and ensuring the maintenance of customer and vendor information.
  • Processing all entries for production petty cash.
  • Controlling production petty cash, collecting from the bank and distributing within company guidelines.
  • Processing production expense claims into the system for production accountants.
  • Ensuring that invoices are attached to the claim and appropriate signatories received.
  • Liaising with the shared services and production accountants to resolve queries.
  • Setting up and managing production codes.
  • Managing settlement of the production intra-company balances.
  • Preparing the monthly invoicing and cash receipt production report.
  • Performing ad-hoc work as directed by the Senior Financial Accountant.
