Types of Development Finance Jobs

Development Finance Manager: The responsibilities handled by you in this position may be:
  • Providing independent analytical studies, support and guidance related to interest rate risk in a balance sheet.
  • Establishing essential contacts with various lines of business in banks.
  • Performing advanced analytics for the evaluation of strategic and tactical risk management options.
  • Identifying and modeling interest rate sensitive non-interest income and expenses.
  • Performing independent data mining, analysis and reporting.
Qualifications needed for this post are:
  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance or Computer Science is required, graduate degree is preferred.
  • About ten years experience in a commercial banking environment with expertise in some of these disciplines:
    • Accounting
    • Financial reporting
    • Fixed income security portfolio management
    • Interest rate risk modeling
    • Derivatives hedging
    • Transfer pricing
    • Profit planning
    • Computer programming
    • Database development

 
Development Finance Coordinator: In this job, you will be assisting and supporting development teams in entering and tracking purchase orders, expense reports, invoices and payments. You may also be involved in the negotiations for consulting service agreements and confidentiality agreements. You may also serve as a liaison between the development and legal departments in obtaining and transmitting consulting service agreements and confidentiality agreements.

 

Qualifications:
·        Bachelors degree
·        Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) 
·        Strong organizational skills
·        Ability to work effectively in an independent and a team-based environment
·        Up to three years of similar experience in a corporate environment
·        Proficiency in financial applications
