Bank management jobs include managerial operations for different departments and the financial services offered by the bank. People in bank management jobs hold senior positions in the organization and supervise the operations of their respective teams.

 
Banks vary in size, such as local banks, regional branches, metropolis branches and headquarters. Also, a bank offers several services, such as savings accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), checking accounts, loans, trust funds and government equity services. Thus, the type of bank management jobs available at a particular branch depends on the geographic region, number of customers and range of services the institution offers.

Bank Management Jobs: Types

The most common bank management jobs available are:
  • Bank manager: A bank manager is the most senior executive, who is responsible for supervising all the operations at the unit. At a small branch, s/he performs a range of functions, such as preparing management reports, business development and handling customer complaints. In a big branch, the bank manager's job profile is limited to managerial operations.
  • Loan management officers: The prime responsibility of a loan management officer is to promote the bank's profit through mortgage and lending products. S/he advises to the top management to develop customer-friendly loan products. The loan manager works in close association with credit bureaus and other local financial institutions to take decisions on loan applications from individuals.
  • Trust managers: Bank branches in cities and metros have separate trust managers to supervise investments of trust moneys. Banks receive the power to invest trust money through trust foundation owners. Trust management officers consult investment specialists to draw maximum profits on the invested money. They ensure that beneficiaries receive income checks in a timely manner and in correct proportion.
  • Operations manager: This job profile is available only at corporate offices of banks. Operations managers work with their respective teams to process all the information pertaining to the bank's services.

Bank Management Jobs: Qualification

Eligibility criteria of different bank management jobs differ as per the working profile. However, general qualifications include:
  • Graduate / post graduate degree, preferably in commerce and management
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to develop business relationships
  • High standard of integrity and honesty.
