Insurance is a common form of business in Georgia. For enhancing the business in the state, the Georgia General Assembly passed a bill in 1995 for creating a special fund for the department of insurance. The Georgia Commissioner of Insurance tries to keep the public interest by regulating insurance industry in the state.
