    The average earning for the week is $2400/8 which equals to $300.

    Once the average weekly wage has been calculated, the New Jersey Disability Insurance weekly wage stands out to be $300.

    The Weekly benefit rate is 2/3rd of the average weekly wage. The New Jersey Disability Insurance weekly benefit rate is $200.

    Maximum benefit amount:
    The maximum benefit amount under the New Jersey Disability Insurance which one can avail during every period of disability is 1/3rd of the total wages one has earned while in service or while serving the employer in New jersey.

    The maximum benefit amount under the New Jersey Disability Insurance which one can avail during every period of disability can also be 26 times that of the weekly benefit amount.

    The lesser amount is taken into consideration.

    The New Jersey Disability Insurance claimant should also satisfy other eligibility conditions.

    Cost of New Jersey Disability Insurance:
    The employee is required to make the employee's part of contribution. However, the contribution cannot exceed the amount one has contributed for the state plan coverage.

    The employees enrolled under New Jersey Disability Insurance pays 0.5% of the first 26,600 of the covered wages in 2007.

    $133.00 is the maximum worker contribution in 2007.
