Tesco travel insurance can provide you with a single trip or an annual multi trip policy, depending on your requirements. This policy can be bought for:

Tesco travel insurance, supplied by Tesco Finance, provides cover for the following:

  • Medical expenses
  • Personal liability
  • Cancellation
  • Personal possessions

The coverage amount varies, however, depending on the price. This in turn depends on:

  • The provider selected by you
  • The level of cover you require

Tesco Travel Insurance: What are the levels of cover?

The Tesco travel insurance policy offers the following covers:

  • A maximum of £2,000,000 of medical expenses
  • Up to £2,000,000 in personal liability. There is a policy excess of £100.
  • A maximum of £15,000 in legal expenses, including holiday contractual disputes. There is no policy excess.
  • Up to £2,500 if your tickets are canceled
  • Up to £1,250 on the loss of or damage to personal possessions of an individual or £625 for a child
  • Personal money up to £400 (or £200 for each child)
  • A maximum of £200 if your departure gets delayed. You will receive £20 on the delay of the first 12 hours and £10 for each subsequent delay of 12 hour.
  • Emergency replacement amounting to no more than £100 on the loss of or damage to personal possessions

Tesco Travel Insurance: What is provided in the winter sports cover?

When you are skiing, there is an increased risk of injury. The winter sports cover of Tesco travel insurance provides for skiing, snowboarding on-piste, snowboarding off-piste with a qualified instructor, cross-country skiing, ice skating and curling. The insurance provides the following:

  • A maximum of £200 on piste closure
  • Up to £500 for ski equipment and £300 for replacement of ski hire
  • Ski passes and fees of up to £250
