The Growing India has been accorded with the prestigious status at the Hannover Messe 2006 (Hannover Technology Fair). It is the Largest Technological Event in the World and takes place in Hannover Germany every year. The event is organised by Deutsche Messe AG, from 24th to 28th April 2006 at Hannover, Germany.

Hannover Messe is the world's most important technological event with the most important industrial segments. Around 200,000 decision-makers from every part of the world visit Hannover Fair every year. The Fair this year will more focus on the Manufacturing Sector.

Presently the Indian manufacturing sector is playing a vital role in maintaining India's growth rate at 7 to 8% per annum. The Hannover Fair will act as the right forum for the Indian Industry to showcase India as a global Engineering Base and strengthen the Manufacturing base.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in India has given CII the responsibility of coordinating the Indian Corporate sector participation.
