India In Davos 2007



The “India Everywhere” campaign in the year 2006 in Davos was well received by the world community. In the same direction India’s rising participation in the international community showed a clear picture of the progressive face of country’s economy.

This year 2000, delegates over the world are expected to take part in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, which is to be held from 24 to 28 January in Davos. Participants from 90 countries over the world will join in the meeting. The main theme on this year’s conference is on 'The shifting power equations'.

The Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Kamal Nath will lead a team to Davos on behalf of India. Top delegations from India this year are as follows:

· Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission · Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Industries · Dr Ajay Dua, Secretary in the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion

Apart from this, the business delegations from India constitute top business leaders such as Anil Ambani, Azim Premji, Anand Mahindra, Dhruv Sawhney, Jamshyd and Adi Godrej, K V Kamath, N R Narayana Murthy, Rahul Bajaj, S Ramadorai and Vijay Mallya.
