Citibank India enables credit cardholders to view, transact and manage their credit card accounts online through Citibank Internet banking. Citibank EPay is another important online service offered by the bank, enabling cardholders to make credit card payments online.

Citibank India Credit Card Payment Online through EPay

The Citibank EPay service is the best alternative to meet your monthly credit card bills, while avoiding trips to drop-boxes and waiting in queues. The Citibank India EPay service facilitates online payments towards a Citibank credit card from any bank account. Citibank has added over 30 banks to its EPay service, including all major public and private banks, such as SBI, AXIS, ICICI and HDFC.

To access the Citibank EPay service:

  • Log on to www.citibank.co.in.
  • Click on the green ‘EPay Now’ button on the ‘Login to Citibank Online’ section at the top-right of the screen.
  • Once you are directed to the new page, click on the blue ‘EPay Now’ button.
  • A new window will open where you will have to certify your acceptance of Citibank EPay terms and conditions by clicking on ‘I Agree.’
  • Click on ‘EPay Now’ in the new page.

Complete the three steps for credit card payments online with EPay:

  • Step 1: Furnish your Citibank credit card details by entering your 16 digit card number. Also specify the amount you seek to pay and select the non-Citibank account from the drop-down menu, from which the payment would be debited.

  • Step 2: Once you are directed to your chosen bank’s payment interface, furnish your authentication details, such as Net banking user-ID and password of the non-Citibank account.

  • Step 3: Verify credit card and payment details, and confirm payment. On completion of the transaction, a transaction acknowledgement page will appear on the screen, displaying a transaction status of either ‘Success’ or ‘Failure.’ If your screen shows a ‘Failure’ status, make the payment again.

Finally, remember to note down your transaction reference number for clarifying queries, if any, with Citibank customer care.

All EPay and Citibank Internet banking transactions are backed by 128-bit encryption, the highest level of commercial encryption. Citibank ensures greater security through the automatic time-out feature, wherein inactivity on a Citibank online account for more than 5 minutes leads to the automatic termination of the access.
