The survey, which based its results on the number of times an individual was asked on a date by the opposite sex out of the site’s 35 million members, discovered that most single women wanted a man who had a stable job with high income, which meant that civil servants were ranked even higher than business owners or finance executives.
Conversely, Chinese men were attracted to mates who were beautiful and talented while having a stable career as well.
According to zhenai.com’s founder Dr. Li Song, the occupations for both males and females in China still directly affect the quality of a couple’s marriage and family lives.
In his survey, Dr. Li also discovered the most desirable university graduates for both genders – with male graduates from Fudan University being the most attractive for females, while the Central Academy of Drama held the most sought-after female graduates.
Unsurprisingly, the top schools listed for males were those more recognisable for their business and economics programs, while arts schools dominated the female list.
