GFT Forex: History

Incorporated in 1997, Global Forex Trading is among the first forex brokers in the US to begin catering to retail customers. It was founded by Gary L. Tilkin as a division of Global Futures & Forex, Ltd. In 2001, the revenues of GFT Forex grew 500%.

The same year, the company introduced its proprietary trading software called DealBook® FX. Subsequently, the updated versions of this software (including mobile and web-based platforms) were introduced. In 2003, GFT expanded the currency pair options offered to its clients. In 2006, GFT launched the Strategic Trading Institute and Foresight A.I., which were steps towards educating customers to take more informed trading decisions.
