Where there are socio-political or economic problems, human suffering is bound to follow, and will evidence itself in disputes (civil unrest or military engagement), displacement of refugees, kidnapping and trafficking of humans, often children, for economic profit, and the production of illicit drugs, which has come to dominate the economies of Afghanistan and parts of South America and South East Asia.
